A reversible table runner made from sturdy washable fibres, this was a project idea conceived from the desire to create the illusion of clean and uninterrupted horizontal and vertical lines. The result of returning to simpler construction techniques, to instead focus on colour play and observe the interaction. The slightly unbalanced twist to the yarn adds visual interest manifesting mostly in the orange, which displays a subtle diagonal bias while still allowing for clean geometry. A close sett reminiscent of hopsack ensures stiff drape and durability.
