A commission for a private art space. In 2020, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars can all be clearly seen with the naked eye, in the same area of the evening sky. The design for this wall hanging emerged during the weaving process; it was only after nearing completion that I noticed the similarity of the design to the iconic images of Jupiter, its horizontal lines of autumnal colour and the famous 'red spot'. Astronomy has always been a casual interest of mine - I enjoy the serendipitious (dare I say, subconscious!?) connection here.
