A departure from my normal practice, this macaramé work uses only the simple square knot to create an expandable and sturdy lattice, suitable for taking weight and withstanding repetitive use.

This entire project was designed by myself both before and during production, and gives testament to a practical process that is instinctual, responding to the work as it emerges, and applies a combination of understanding materials, mathematics and physics.
